Doing good strategically
We are a community of consultants, who use evidence and reason to figure out how we can help others as much as possible. We want to maximise our social impact by finding and funding solutions to the worlds most pressing problems as well as spreading the idea of effective altruism.
Effective altruism advocates using evidence and reasoning to determine the most effective ways to make the world a better place. We believe you can multiply your social impact x100 by doing good strategically and prioritizing what to focus on. Here are three steps and key articles to get you started.
Meet some of our community members
Jona founded the EACN and was vice-president of Effective Altruism Austria. He is currently on leave from BCG to do his PhD, and has pledged to give 10% of his income to effective charities.
Lisa helped setting up the EACN and is a decision-making geek. Before joining consulting, she has led a student-run NGO in Ethiopia and is therefore particularly interested in donating more strategically.
Anneke is a PhD student with expertise in intercultural communication, helping the EACN to create new workplace groups. She has previously interned at an MBB consultancy, and is committed to support refugee communities in Germany.
